CAN YOU BUY MY CAR TODAY & HOW WILL I BE PAID?

Yes, we can usually complete a purchase on the day that you contact us. Call us and tell us about your car.
You will be paid with cleared funds on the day that we collect your car, we pay by Bankers Draft or Bank Transfer directly into your bank account, which you can verify with your bank before you release the car to us.

HOW DO YOU VALUE MY CAR?

We use the information that you provide for us, along with up to the minute databases. We have over 30 years experience and hundreds of trade contacts to allow us to provide a researched accurate quote for your actual car not a computer generated quote for a generic car that may be subject to re-evaluation once you have taken your car to the buyer.
We come to you, so the onus is on us to provide you with a quote that will buy the car. This is the reason for our thorough research into your specific car prior to us calling you with a price.

I`M ANXIOUS ABOUT SELLING MY CAR, HOW DO I KNOW THAT IT`S SAFE?

You will deal entirely with Andy & Karen who own buymycar.ltd.uk and not an impersonal call centre or computer programme.
We will do our best to reassure you and assist you every step of the way, we can pay by secure bank transfer directly into your account or by Bankers draft.
We will come to you at a time and place convenient for you and we will pay for your car at the time of collection, so you do not have to wait for payment.

I DO NOT HAVE A LOGBOOK – WILL YOU BUY MY CAR?

To enable us to buy your car, we need the V5 (logbook) and it needs to be registered in your name.
You can apply for a new V5 from the DVLA by completing and sending a V62 to them which you can get from the post office or online at www.direct.gov.uk
If the car is registered in your name DVLA have a fast track system available.

MY LOCAL GARAGE HAS OFFERED ME MORE IF I PART EXCHANGE MY CAR - CAN YOU MATCH IT?

Dealers can often appear to offer an excellent part exchange price - this may be because they have a large margin on the car they are trying to sell you and can give you some of that margin on top of your cars actual value to make the deal more appealing to you.
By selling your car to us you become a cash buyer and as such are in a stronger position to buy a car either from a dealer or online for a better price. After all it is the cost to you to change cars that is the important thing.
We have no ulterior motive, we want to buy your car and are not trying to sell you something as part of the deal!

MY CAR IS LEFT HAND DRIVE – DO YOU BUY LHD CARS?

Yes we buy left hand drive cars, give us a call and tell us about your car, we are happy to buy left hand drive cars, even if they are not registered in the UK.
We will also buy imported cars, we need to know whether the car is a parallel import or a grey import as they require different approaches to valuation – it will tell you on the V5 (logbook) which type of import your car is.

MY CAR HAS OUTSTANDING FINANCE, WILL YOU BUY MY CAR?

Yes, we can buy your car, although the finance must be settled. You have two options;

1. You can settle the outstanding balance directly with your finance company, we will need written confirmation of this from your finance company when we collect the car
2. We can settle the finance on your behalf, you will need to obtain a settlement figure directly from the finance company. Data protection laws require that you obtain the settlement figure, which we require in writing from them. We can then deduct the outstanding amount from the valuation of your car and pay the balance to the finance company.

Please note; if you owe more than the valuation of the car, the difference needs to be settled prior to us collecting the car and we will require written confirmation from the finance company.
